How do you bamboozle biology?

I'm in honors biology. It's really hard because it seems like we don't learn half of the stuff on the tests and the questions on the test aren't very straightforward so there's usually more than one possible answer. I memorize the book and all of the notes and the book and listen to clical music while studying and I'm still not getting As. I'm out of ideas.
