Movie title? Please help, driving me insane!!!?

I watched this one movie a couple of years back in my sociology cl which I really liked and I cannot remember the name! It was about two american girls that travel to china (or somewhere in asia) and get into trouble because of one their guy friends that is holding drugs or something like that. They get sent to jail and trialed by the asian laws since they're not familiar with the language. They suffer alot in prison. I also remember that the visiting window was a room with bars across a little river, bayou thing. The visitors had to yell across to be heard by their relatives. I also believe that one of the girls finally manages to get help from her parents and she eventually gets out and her father tries to get the other girl out. If anyone can please help me with this, I will really appreciate it!! I have been wanting to watch this movie but I just cannot remember the name! Hope that's enough info. Thank you in advance ^_^
