My fiance & I love each other beyond all else but she has children tied to her X-hubby?

the hubby has money job and place to live even though its not owned.....does she goto her kids and live with him and dump me...or try to work the kids into our life here hes in kauai...im in Cali....makes for hard relationship,.what should happen...I'm finishing my DC in Chiro and she just did her LVN and is starting RN prog soon???
