GH: I thought Jason gave in?

last week when Jason took Liz up to bed, I thought that meant he was agreeing to meet with her in secret. I thought it was an actions speak louder than words type of thing. Friday he told Spinelli about how Liz wanted to meet in secret but that it was too dangerous and they couldn't do it. Did I misinterpret? I thought he gave in?
