Which bike would you get?

So I was deciding to get a new bike this year since the last one I got was when I was 8 and it's way too short. I was going to get this Mongoose bike from Toysrus - http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4044507 - but my parents said their bikes are cheap and break easily. The other bike I found was this Trek one - http://www.trekbikes.com/us/en/bikes/kids/ages_9_12/mt200boys/ . What do you think? Spend a little extra to get the Trek or get the Mongoose? Are there any differences between them? Thanks in advance!
